Tools Required -
- 2 people
- 54 Gallon Bin (provided by Tentrr - If you don't have it yet, it's coming soon!)
- A dry, clean place
Step 1 - Prepare for takedown!
Start with a clean dry empty tent
- Remove the wood stove
- Deflate, pack up and remove Coleman Cot
- Remove side tables, loo and any decor you may have included in your tent
Release Tent stakes and untie ropes from tent
Release cinch straps from footman's loops
Zip closed doors of the tent
Step 2 - Remove Canvas shell
With 2 people, carefully work the side of the tent up over the corners of the frame
Release poles from all 6 tent feet so the tent is standing outside of the feet
Starting on one side, take out leg poles (twist if tight or give ‘em a whack to loosen)
Repeat on the opposite side
Open access panel and remove eyebolts from tent. Zip up your stove access panel.
Take off your canvas tent. Set aside in a clean dry place
Step 3 - Bag it up
Disassemble the roof making sure all tightening eye bolts are returned to their coupler after disassembly
Return eye bolt/nut to coupler with hole. Bag all couplers (9) in provided bag
Bag all poles (18) in the provided bag
Bag ropes (10) and stakes (10) in the provided bag
Step 4-Fold the Tent
Only put away your tent if it is completely dry!
Lay out your tent flat on the platform so your roof is up (as if it was set up)
Clean off any debris it may have collected
Fold the roofline in half onto itself
Straighten and flatten excess fabric
Fold in all canvas to align with the edges of your folded roof so you have a long rectangle
Fold this rectangle into thirds.
Roll up tightly and strap with provided black cinch strap
Bag it up.
Important notes -
Use your 54 gallon storage bin and put in a clean dry place free of odors and varmints
If your tent is not completely dry DO NOT ROLL IT UP - Hang or lay out until bone dry
It is best to store your tent with all doors windows and panels zipped shut
If you would like to clean your tent we recommend you do so in the spring at setup
If you have mildew on your tent, we recommend cleaning the tent come Spring. This tent needs to be bone dry when bagging it up!
