Woohoo! Its time to get ready for another incredible season with Tentrr! In this article, we'll show you how to set up your canvas tent and campsite components so your campsite is ready for Campers!
When it comes to setting up your canvas tent, following each step very closely is very important! Please read through all instructions before beginning and print them out if necessary.
The following easy steps will ensure a proper setup of your Tentrr campsite:
What You'll Need -
- Canvas Tent components
- At least two people!
Canvas Tent Components -
-18 poles: 6 Ridge poles (yellow) 6 eave poles (blue) 6 Legs (red)
- 9 pole connectors or couplers
- 6 pole bases or "feet"
- Canvas tent
- 10 ropes and stakes
- Hardware: 3/8 hex head bolts and washers. Footman's loop straps, and screws

Step 1 - Build Your Roof
Take out all metal couplers (these are the connectors between your poles), then locate the 3-way couplers (there are two of them!), eye bolts, & an eye bolt hole- these are the front and back couplers of the ridge of your tent's roof.
The eye bolt that should be inserted into these couplers will be screwed into the coupler- its necessary to remove this (hold onto it!) and insert it back into the hole in the coupler, after the pole has been inserted!
Also locate the couplers with four pole slots (there are three of them!)- these are the center couplers for your roof and sides.
Then locate the couplers with three pole slots and three eye bolts (there are four of them!)- these are the corner couplers of your tent's frame!
You'll then want to lay your poles out with their corresponding couplers:
- Your leg poles (marked with red) will be inserted into the corner couplers
- Your eave poles (marked with blue) will connect the side and center couplers by being placed horizontally
- Your ridge poles (marked with yellow) will connect the back and front couplers to your middle-center coupler
Locate the ridge poles (marked with yellow) with holes at the ends- you'll want to use these poles to build the roof ridge. Once these poles are inserted into the coupler, the eye bolt you removed can be screwed back in! The hole in the pole and the hole in the coupler will align.
Complete building your roof by inserting the additional four ridge poles on either side of the center ridge. You can use the eye bolts to tighten the poles into the couplers- the tighter the better!
Locate the eave poles (marked with blue) and insert them into corresponding couplers, then tighten eye bolts. Finish up this step by adding in remaining ridge poles. The top of your tent frame should be built at this point! Be sure to wait until Step 3 to put on the legs!

Step 2 - Set up Canvas Tent
Open up your canvas tent and locate front of the tent (this is where the zipper for the doors and Tentrr logo are located!
Unroll and lay your tent over the center ridge on the frame you built, then locate the grommets on the tent ridge (there is one on the front and one on the back!).
Open the zippers of the canvas to access the eyebolts in pole (the one you removed and held onto earlier, then put back in the pole!). Use these to attach canvas tent to frame. Then zip up!
Next, align canvas with the corners of your metal frame, one by one.
Don't forget to open your stove pipe panel and tie it up tightly making sure all ties are secured!

Step 3 - Tent goes up
Using two people (one at the front and one at the back corner of the same side), lift the metal tent frame and add in your legs at each corner. Finish by putting in the center legs on the front and back. Then repeat on the other side of the tent.
Insert legs into feet screwed into your metal platform, ensuring the tightening bolt is facing the inside of the tent.
Carefully bring all corners of the canvas tent over the frame (open the doors of the tent if it is too tight!) Do not force it! It can rip! Then drop the walls of the tent down over the legs, tighten the poles at the base, and you're all set!

Step 4 - Secure and Final Set up
Screw down footman's loops, and lace through cinch straps that are attached to your tent. Then attach ropes (a simple knot will do!) and stake them down 4 feet from the edge of your platform at all 10 connection points.
Final Steps For Campsite Setup:
- Blow Up Your Mattress & Setup Your Bed
- Place heat source inside
- Place your wooden side tables & campsite manual inside tent
- Place your Adirondack chairs on your wood platform
- Place your picnic table, benches, and campbox
